Please check the international date line when booking your flights and send us your flight details to ensure you have booked for the correct days. Please note, our check in time is 2pm and our check out time is 10am. If you require access to your room outside of these times, early check in (from 6am) or late check out (to 6pm) is charged at $95 subject to availability. From 01 Jan 2024, early check in (from 6 am), or late check out (until 6 pm), will be charged at $20 per hour on and only on availability. For access beyond these times or to guarantee immediate access to your room, you will need to book an additional night’s accommodation

All prices quoted are expressed in New Zealand dollars and include VAT at the current rate of 15%. Extra rates for children apply up to age 12 years, those 12 years and over are classed at the adult rate. Rates are valid through to 31 December 2024.

Garden View Suites

Garden view Suites have a separate bedroom with a King size bed, with two single beds in the living area. Suites are a fresh ocean colour palette, all at ground level and very spacious. A private patio overlooks a lush tropical garden.

An additional fold out bed can be added to enable sleeping of 5 people, please enquire direct to us as required.

Cabana Suites

Cabana suites are large open plan studios with high vaulted ceilings flooded with abundant natural light. The perfect room for a couple. If required, Cabana apartments can accommodate a maximum of three people with a King and a single bed. Apartments are a fresh ocean colour palette, all at ground level. The private patio overlooks the sparkling pool and lush gardens.

Pool View Suites

Pool View suites are slightly larger than Garden View suites. They have vaulted ceilings to maximize light and air flow. Pool View suites can accommodate up to four people with a King bed in the separate bedroom and two singles beds in the living area. The suites are a fresh ocean palette, all at ground level. The private patio overlooks the sparkling pool and lush gardens.

Children

Many hotels on Rarotonga do not accept children under 16 years of age. At The Black Pearl at Puaikura Resort, we recognise that travelling with children can be rewarding for the whole family through shared experiences.

We accept well behaved children under the age of 12 years. For the enjoyment of other guests we ask that children be supervised by an adult at all times. We do not have a Kids Club – if that is what you are looking for there are other hotels that will better suit your needs.

Travel information and check in

Check in time is 2pm and check out is 10am. A late checkout fee of $95 will be applicable and subject to availability.

Please check your flight dates and times carefully as you will cross the International Dateline travelling between New Zealand to Rarotonga. When making your reservation, please send us confirmation of your flight details so we can check we have the correct accommodation booked for you and let us know whether you would like transfers arranged.

We are happy to arrange return airport transfers for you at a cost of $50 per person. This includes being met on arrival, a traditional fresh flower ei greeting, luggage assistance, plus transportation.
